H by Hine VSOP Fine Champagne Cognac is an exceptional cognac from the renowned House of Hine, which is renowned for its masterful craftsmanship and centuries-old tradition of cognac production. The company was founded by Eric Forget, Hine’s cellar master, and is based in the heart of the prestigious Grande Champagne region in Cognac. For six generations, the House of Hine has been producing cognac in small batches, with a clear focus on the highest quality. The quality of this cognac is recognised worldwide, and the company has even been selected as the exclusive supplier to Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, underlining Hine’s exceptional reputation.

The H by Hine VSOP is aged for around four years in oak barrels and is made from grapes from the Grande and Petite Champagne regions, which lend it a particular refinement and complexity. Not only does this cognac have a distinctive flavour, but it is also presented in a limited-edition gift box designed by the talented artist Anne Carney Raines. Born in Nashville and currently based in London, the artist completed her Master’s degree in Painting at the Royal College of Art in 2021 and has twice been awarded the prestigious Elizabeth Greenshield Foundation Award. Her artistic vision adds a unique visual element to the H by Hine VSOP.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light amber with golden highlights.

Nose: Aromas of ripe plums and dried apricots, accompanied by delicate hints of vanilla and a subtle spiciness from the oak.

Palate: Smooth and full-bodied, with a harmonious blend of sweet, fruity flavours and a subtle, spicy oak note. The vanilla and citrus fruits combine perfectly with the mild herbal notes and an elegant, soft sweetness.

Finish: Long and warm, with a balanced aftertaste of mild spices and a hint of fruitiness.

The H by Hine VSOP Fine Champagne Cognac is excellent enjoyed neat or on the rocks to savour the subtle complexity of this fine spirit. It pairs perfectly with fine cheeses such as Roquefort or Comté. It also complements fine desserts such as crème brûlée or a chocolate fondue perfectly. This cognac is also excellent when enjoyed with a cigar, as its smooth and elegant aromas complement the smoky notes of a high-quality cigar wonderfully.
