Barceló Imperial ONYX Ron Dominicano 38% vol. is an expressive rum from the Dominican Republic, blended from a careful selection of matured distillates. The rums used are aged for up to ten years in heavily toasted oak barriques, resulting in an intense, structured and complex character. Following barrel ageing, a special production process takes place: the Barceló Imperial ONYX is filtered through black onyx stones. This extraordinary finishing process shapes the profile of the bottling and underlines its unique position within the Ron Barceló range. The combination of long oak barrel ageing, intense toasting and onyx filtration gives the rum its distinctive structure, blending ripe woody notes with warm sweetness and subtle toasted aromas.


At 38% ABV, the Barceló Imperial ONYX Ron Dominicano is full-bodied and full of character, whilst retaining its harmonious balance. Cherry, coffee and nuts meet intense oak notes and vanilla, whilst the long cask maturation lends additional depth. Visually, the rum displays a dark mahogany hue with amber-coloured nuances, reflecting its mature character even in the glass. The elegant 0.7-litre bottle emphasises the exceptional quality of this bottling.
