Togouchi Single Malt Japanese Whisky 43% ABV, 0.7 l, in a gift box online kaufen

The Togouchi Single Malt Japanese Whisky is a fascinating expression from Chugoku Jozo, a Japanese producer renowned for its exceptional maturation methods and its blend of tradition and innovation. Unlike many other Togouchi bottlings, which are often blends, this variant is a genuine single malt, produced entirely from malted barley and distilled and matured in Japan.

Its maturation site lends this whisky a special character: the casks are stored in an old railway tunnel near Hiroshima, where constant temperatures and high humidity create a particularly consistent and controlled maturation environment. These conditions result in a harmonious, smooth yet expressive flavour profile, characterised by subtle woody notes and fruity nuances.

Bottled at 43% ABV and presented in a stylish gift box, the Togouchi Single Malt is an exciting expression of Japanese whisky craftsmanship for connoisseurs of Japanese whiskies and curious newcomers alike.

Tasting Note

Colour: Pale gold.

Nose: Delicate and well-balanced, with notes of green apples, dried citrus fruits, vanilla, malt and a subtle hint of wood.

Palate: Elegant and smooth with a hint of sweetness, toffee, yellow fruit, oaky spice and a touch of white chocolate.

Finish: Medium to Lang with a fruity aftertaste, gentle notes of grain and a hint of vanilla wood.

The Togouchi Single Malt reveals its finely balanced aroma best when enjoyed neat at room temperature, or with a few drops of water. Ideal as a relaxing after-dinner whisky, for a Japanese-inspired tasting, or as a stylish gift for lovers of mild yet complex whiskies.
