The Starward Distillery is located in Melbourne. Melbourne is Australia’s gourmet capital and also has some delicacies to offer whisky lovers.

The varied climate brings out both the distillate’s characteristic aromas and its delicious flavours.

Every single ingredient comes from the local area and is sourced from no more than an hour’s drive away.

Solera is a traditional method used by the Spanish to age their sherry and ensure consistency. A small portion of each young cask is blended with a more mature spirit. It is the inspiration behind the Solera Single Malt. And it means that every bottle produced today still contains a hint of one of Starward’s very first casks. Apera casks from the McWilliams winery are used for maturation; Apera is an Australian fortified wine, similar to sherry.

Colour: Brilliant amber.

Nose: Tropical fruits, caramel, vanilla.

Palate: Toasted caramel, crème brûlée, bananas, figs, sweet spices.
