Gold of Mauritius 5 Solera Dark Rum is a youthful yet complex rum hailing from the tropical island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean, which impresses with its deep, dark character. This exclusive blend combines various distillates, which have been carefully produced on the island and blended together to create a full-bodied yet balanced flavour profile.

The ageing process is carried out using the Solera method, which lends the rum a particular depth. However, before the rum is bottled, it undergoes a further period of ageing of around six to eight months in ex-port wine casks, which enhances both its colour and its fruity notes. This additional ageing enriches the rum with an intense, warm aroma and imparts its characteristic notes of dark fruits and subtle woody nuances.
