The Artezin Zinfandel 2020 is a powerful, characterful red wine from Mendocino County in California and represents the classic style of Californian Zinfandel wines with depth, fruit and structure. Produced by Artezin Wines, which specialises in Zinfandel, this vintage is the result of careful craftsmanship and targeted cuvée composition.

The cuvée consists of 85% Zinfandel, supplemented by 13% Petite Sirah and 2% Carignan, which give the wine additional complexity, colour and structure. The wine is matured entirely in French oak barrels, which gives it a harmonious combination of ripe fruit, spice and soft tannins. The alcohol content of 15.5% vol. gives it fullness and warmth, while the ageing in wood ensures elegance and ageing potential. The wine is traditionally sealed with a natural cork and offers ageing potential until at least 2026, ideal for connoisseurs who appreciate intense, storable red wines.

Tasting Note

Deep ruby red colour with a violet core. Intense aromas of blackberries, stewed plums, cedar wood, black pepper, vanilla and fine roasted flavours on the nose. Juicy and powerful on the palate with dense fruit, ripe tannins, well-integrated oak spice and a warm, long finish. The structure is full-bodied but balanced - a red wine with vigour and style.

Serving temperature: 16-18 °C

The Artezin Zinfandel is an ideal accompaniment to grilled beef, barbecue ribs, braised game, spicy stews or mature cheese. It also harmonises perfectly with smoked duck breast, rack of lamb or a piece of dark chocolate.
