Founded in 1743 by Claude Moët in Épernay, France, Moët & Chandon has become a leading name in the champagne market. Jean-Remy Moët, a descendant of the founder, acquired the former Hautvillers monastery in 1794, where the monk Dom Pérignon developed his pioneering champagne production techniques. This was a decisive step that further cemented the quality and reputation of Moët & Chandon.

The association with historical figures such as Napoleon Bonaparte, a close friend of Jean-Remy Moët, helped to publicise the champagne on international campaigns and increased its popularity worldwide. Moët & Chandon always remained based in Épernay and became synonymous with high-quality champagne.

1987 marked another milestone when Moët Hennessy merged with Louis Vuitton to form the luxury goods group LVMH, now recognised worldwide for its exclusive products.

Moët & Chandon Champagne Ice Impérial, an innovation from Moët & Chandon, is the first champagne specially developed to be enjoyed on ice. This champagne combines freshness with a pleasant sweetness and is made from the classic grape varieties Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay. After ageing, it is bottled and sealed with a natural cork.

The Marquise de Pompadour once summed up the essence of champagne when she said: "Champagne is the only wine in the world that makes every woman beautiful." Tasting Note

Gold with amber accents in the glass. On the nose, notes of tropical fruit combined with nectarines, raspberries and gooseberries. Flavours of fresh fruit and sweet caramel on the palate. Gooseberries and Ingwerer provide a refreshing acidity. Long-lasting and full-bodied on the finish.
