The Knöbl Chardonnay is an expressive, elegant white wine from the traditional Weinhof Knöbl from the municipality of Dienersdorf near Kaindorf in Eastern Styria. This family-run winery is run with great passion and commitment by Fritz Knöbl, an experienced master winemaker with a solid education at the renowned Silberberg School of Viticulture. Fritz Knöbl took on responsibility for wine production at the age of 17 after his parents, the founders of the business, placed their trust in him early on. Today, his name stands for the highest quality standards, sustainable cultivation and wines with authentic character.

For this Chardonnay, only carefully selected, fully ripe Chardonnay grapes are used, which thrive in the sun-drenched vineyards surrounding the winery. After hand-picking, the grapes are carefully processed in order to optimally preserve the freshness and flavour of the fruit. The final bottling is carried out using a modern screw cap, which safely and reliably preserves the unique character of the wine.

The Knöbl Chardonnay 2020 exemplifies the quality philosophy and tradition of Weinhof Knöbl and invites you to taste and discover other wines and juices directly on site through the farm's own Buschenschank.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the Knöbl Chardonnay presents itself in a clear, light straw yellow colour with slightly greenish reflections. Its fruity bouquet seduces with appealing notes of ripe pears, yellow apples and fresh citrus fruits, accompanied by fine, floral nuances and a hint of exotic freshness. On the palate, it is elegant, fresh and harmoniously balanced with a pleasant acidity and a fine, creamy texture. The finish is harmonious, medium-long and accompanied by subtle mineral accents.

Knöbl Chardonnay harmonises ideally with light, regional cuisine such as fish dishes, roast poultry, salads or asparagus. It also goes well with fine vegetarian dishes, light starters and mild cheeses.
