Description
The Dewar's Distillery, situated in Aberfeldy in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, is a renowned whisky distillery with a history stretching back over 170 years. It was founded in 1846 by John Dewar Sr. and has since developed into one of the world’s leading and most highly regarded whisky brands.
Dewar's 8 Years Caribbean Smooth is produced using traditional Scottish methods and is characterised by a special maturation process that gives it its distinctive character. Following the careful selection of the barley, the process begins with milling, followed by fermentation and distillation, before the whisky is finished in high-quality rum casks.
Maturation for at least eight years in these specially selected casks ensures a harmonious blend of sweet and spicy notes, which give the whisky its characteristic flavours. This innovative approach combines traditional craftsmanship with an exceptional finishing process, which gives Dewar’s 8 Years Caribbean Smooth a unique depth and a tropical-inspired flavour profile.
