The Antica Torino brand was founded in 2016 by Vittorio Zoppi and Filippo Antonelli with the aim of rediscovering traditional Piedmontese recipes and reviving the art of flavoured wines, liqueurs and spirits. The focus is on authentic flavour experiences that are closely interwoven with the history and culture of the region.

Vermouth di Torino Dry is based on a recipe from the 1950s, a time when the vermouth industry in Turin was flourishing and developing. This vermouth is characterised by a complex and multi-layered aroma resulting from the careful selection and processing of high-quality botanicals. The ingredients include absinthe, yarrow nutmeg, sage, thistle and hyssop, which create an intense interplay of herbal and floral notes.

The production follows a precise process: Maceration of the botanicals in 96% alcohol for around 30 days, followed by pressing to extract the colour. Part of the macerate is then refined in a distillation apparatus before being combined with macerated and distilled wine. After maturing and refining in steel tanks, it is filtered and bottled, resulting in an exceptionally harmonious and long-lasting vermouth.

Tasting Note

Colour: Straw yellow.

Nose: Intense, complex, floral, spicy notes of sage and thistle, fruity notes of dried fruit and citrus fruits.

Flavour: Dry, pleasantly soft, fresh flowers, sage, subtle hints of almonds and nuts.

Finish: Langs, balanced.

Perfect as a classic aperitif, pure on ice or as a fine base for dry Martini and other cocktails.
