Porto Niepoort Tawny is an elegant, time-honoured port wine, produced with great care and the finest winemaking expertise by the internationally renowned Niepoort winery in Portugal’s Douro Valley. For more than five generations, the family-run Niepoort winery has stood for excellent quality, authenticity and innovation.

This Tawny Port is made from carefully selected, traditional grape varieties from the Douro region, such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca. Following a gentle vinification process, the wine matures for several years in small wooden casks, during which time it develops its characteristic velvety texture, attractive amber colour and complex aroma.

With an alcohol content of 19.5% vol., this Tawny is harmonious, pleasantly smooth and expressive all at once. Presented in a stylish gift box, it is ideal as a tasteful gift for wine lovers or as a delightful treat for special occasions.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the Niepoort Tawny Port displays a clear, warm amber colour with delicate golden-brown highlights. The bouquet delights with seductive aromas of dried fruit, particularly raisins and figs, combined with delicately balanced notes of toasted almonds, walnuts and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, this port is velvety and smooth, with a harmonious sweetness and mild acidity. The finish is long-lasting, elegant and delicately spicy, accompanied by subtle caramel notes.
