Berta Bric del Gaian Grappa di Moscato Invecchiata 2016 43% ABV 0.7l in a wooden box online kaufen
The Berta Bric del Gaian Grappa di Moscato Invecchiata 2016 43% ABV 0.7 l is an exceptional Italian grappa from Piedmont, produced from the pomace of the aromatic white wine grape variety Moscato d’Asti. This fine speciality is produced by the long-established Berta distillery in Mombaruzzo, which is renowned for its high-quality, long-aged grappas. The 2016 vintage of Berta Bric del Gaian is distilled from carefully selected Moscato pomace and then aged for eight years in wooden casks, during which time it develops its distinctive maturity and complexity. With an alcohol content of 43% vol., the Grappa di Moscato Invecchiata is bottled in an elegant 0.7-litre bottle and presented in a high-quality wooden box that emphasises its exclusive character.
The name Bric del Gaian roughly translates as ‘Galliano’s Hill’ and pays homage to a former tenant who worked a Moscato vineyard near the Berta family estate. This personal story links the aged Moscato grappa to its Piedmontese origins and the region’s long-standing winemaking tradition. The Berta distillery was founded in 1947 and is now one of the most renowned producers of Italian grappa specialities. The Berta Bric del Gaian 2016 is one of the house’s particularly high-quality vintage bottlings, in which the combination of Moscato pomace, traditional distillation and eight years’ cask ageing takes centre stage. Presented in a stylish wooden gift box, this Italian Grappa Riserva is particularly well-suited as a gift for grappa enthusiasts and collectors of select vintage distillates.
Tasting Note
Colour: Warm amber with golden highlights.
Nose: Complex aromas of spicy clary sage, fresh grapefruit, delicate wild berries and creamy bourbon vanilla.
Palate: Rich and silky smooth, with ripe fruit, aromatic vanilla, delicate chocolate cream and elegant oak notes.
Finish: Long-lasting, velvety and harmonious, with delicate fruity nuances, vanilla and a pleasant warmth.
The Berta Bric del Gaian Grappa di Moscato 2016 reveals its complex aromas particularly well when enjoyed neat at a serving temperature of around 12 to 14 °C, ideally in a tulip-shaped grappa glass. As a classic digestif following a fine meal, it offers an elegant finish and pairs superbly with dark chocolate, delicate almond biscuits or a creamy panna cotta. Its floral, fruity and spicy nuances also harmonise beautifully with mature Parmesan, hazelnut desserts or a fruity wild berry tart. The elegant wooden box also makes this eight-year-old Moscato grappa from Piedmont a special gift for grappa connoisseurs and lovers of the Italian art of distillation.
