Widow Jane Rye Whisky is a unique, handcrafted whisky from Brooklyn that impresses with its fascinating history and outstanding quality. It takes its name from the Widow Jane Mine in Rosendale, New York, from whose limestone caves the mineral-rich water used in its production is sourced. This special water lends the whisky an exceptional smoothness and depth.

The basis of this whisky is a classic rye mash, which gives it a robust, spicy character. It is matured in ex-bourbon casks, which have been lined with staves of oak and apple wood to create additional aromatic complexity. As a single-cask bottling, each batch is bottled individually, giving every bottle a special, distinctive character. The result is a rye whisky with intense spicy notes, a pleasant sweetness and a harmonious balance of woody and fruity flavours.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep copper with golden highlights.

Nose: Spicy and powerful with notes of rye bread, honey, vanilla and dark chocolate.

Palate: Full-bodied and complex with flavours of caramel, cinnamon, green apple peel and slightly smoky oak.

Finish: Long and warm with a pleasant blend of peppery spice, dried fruit and a subtle apple sweetness.
