Eichenwald Das Federviech Zweigelt Reserve is an outstanding red wine from this exceptional region. It is made from Zweigelt, one of the most important indigenous grape varieties, and showcases the full expressiveness of the grape. The wine is aged for 24 months in first- and second-fill barrique barrels, which lends it additional complexity.

Tasting Note

A deep, dark ruby red in the glass. On the nose, aromas of ripe black cherries, plums and blueberries, accompanied by subtle oaky notes and a hint of spice. On the palate, it is wonderfully juicy, well-structured and vibrantly fresh. The flavours of dark fruits such as black cherries and plums continue and blend harmoniously with a delicate hint of vanilla and toasted notes from the barrique ageing. Long-lasting finish.

Residual sugar: 11 g/l

Zweigelt Reserve is perfect with hearty meat dishes such as grilled beef, lamb chops or game. It also pairs superbly with mature hard cheeses such as Comté or Manchego. Thanks to its complex structure, it is an ideal companion for heartily spiced stews or a relaxed evening in good company.
