Beronia Rioja Reserva is a high-quality red wine from the renowned Rioja region in northern Spain. Beronia, known for producing wines that are traditional yet with a modern twist, offers a superb balance of fruit, oak and tannins in this Reserva.

The blend of the Beronia Rioja Reserva consists of 96 per cent Tempranillo and 4 per cent Graciano, two of the best-known grape varieties in the Rioja region. Tempranillo lends the wine its fruity richness and depth, whilst the small proportion of Graciano adds extra freshness, floral notes and a complex spiciness. The grapes come from the finest Lager in the Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa, characterised by calcareous soils and a Mediterranean-continental climate.

After harvesting, the grapes are carefully selected before being fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 12 months in American and French oak barrels, which give it its characteristic vanilla and toasted notes. After ageing, it is bottled and sealed with a natural cork to best preserve the wine’s quality and potential.

Tasting Note

A deep garnet red in the glass. On the nose, complex aromas of dark berries, plums and cherries unfold, accompanied by vanilla, toasted notes and a hint of tobacco. Full-bodied on the palate with a fine tannin structure and good acidity balance, lending it freshness and elegance. The aromas from the nose carry through and blend with a subtle hint of oak. A long-lasting finish.

Beronia Rioja Reserva pairs superbly with grilled beef, lamb chops or braised game. It is also an excellent choice with mature cheeses such as Manchego or a hearty stew.
