The Springbank 100° Proof 5 Years Old Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky is an outstanding example of traditional Scottish craftsmanship, the likes of which are rarely found today. Produced at the legendary Springbank Distillery – one of the last three active distilleries in Campbeltown, the former centre of Scottish whisky production – this whisky embodies the region’s original, unadulterated style.


The Springbank 100° Proof has been matured for five years in selected bourbon casks, which lend it its warm, sweet and spicy character. As with all the distillery’s bottlings, the malt was gently dried over peat smoke in traditional kilns and then distilled two and a half times – a special process that gives Springbank whiskies their unmistakable character. Bottled at 100 Proof, equivalent to 57.1% ABV, this single malt is presented at full strength, non-chill-filtered and with no colouring – entirely in keeping with the authentic Campbeltown whisky tradition.

Tasting Note

Colour: Pale gold with a slight amber sheen.

Nose: Fresh, malty and maritime with notes of vanilla, peat smoke, lemon zest and sweet wood.

Palate: Full-bodied, powerful and creamy with flavours of honey, oak, vanilla, spices, citrus and a subtle smoky spice.

Finish: Long-lasting, spicy and slightly salty with a hint of peat and sweet malt.

The Springbank 100° Proof 5 Years Old reveals its powerful character when enjoyed neat or with a drop of water, which allows its fruity and smoky notes to unfold to their full potential. It pairs superbly with grilled meat, smoked salmon or spicy hard cheese. It also offers a harmonious interplay of sweetness, spice and smoke when paired with dark chocolate with a high cocoa content or caramelised nuts.
