Penderyn’s Peated Welsh Whisky is produced in Wales using the distinctive Faraday Still, which plays a key role in the distillery’s light and clearly structured style. Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold.

Nose: Sweet and aromatic smoke with vanilla, green apple and refreshing citrus notes.

Palate: Smooth and well-balanced with a hint of smokiness, fresh fruit and soft vanilla notes.

Finish: Medium-length with lingering smoke, vanilla and a subtle citrus freshness.

Penderyn PEATED Single Malt Welsh Whisky is particularly well suited to being enjoyed neat at around 18 to 20 °C, although a small splash of room-temperature water can bring out additional fruity and smoky notes. It pairs particularly well with smoked salmon, mildly smoked meats, mature Cheddar or roasted nuts. For desserts, apple tart, vanilla custard or desserts featuring citrus fruits and maple syrup harmonise beautifully with the whisky’s fruity, smoky profile. A recommended cocktail is the ‘Peat & Maple’, made with maple syrup, Angostura bitters and orange, which specifically highlights the sweet and smoky elements.
