The Polz Sauvignon Blanc Südsteiermark is a lively and aromatic white wine made from 100 per cent Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The vines thrive on the characteristic soils of Southern Styria, which consist of shell limestone, loam, sand, calcareous marl and slate. This diverse soil structure lends the wine exceptional minerality and freshness, which perfectly bring out its aromas. The Sauvignon Blanc is vinified with precision in stainless steel tanks, which preserves the purity and freshness of the grapes. The wine has ageing potential until 2030 and is sealed with a practical screw cap to retain its freshness.

This wine is a typical example of South Styria and impresses with its clear fruitiness and complex array of aromas. An ideal companion for a wide range of occasions, whether as a refreshing aperitif or paired with light dishes.

Tasting Note

A clear, pale straw-yellow colour in the glass. On the nose, aromas of fresh redcurrants and citrus fruits unfold immediately, accompanied by tropical notes such as passion fruit and pineapple. On the palate, the wine displays a pleasant freshness, underpinned by lemon thyme and verbena, which lend it an elegant herbal note. The wine is juicy, vibrant and surprises with a fresh, exotic character that perfectly rounds off the tasting experience.

This Sauvignon Blanc is ideal as a refreshing aperitif or as an accompaniment to light dishes such as grilled fish, seafood or a fresh goat’s cheese salad.
