The Knöbl Welschriesling is a characterful, fresh white wine from the renowned Weinhof Knöbl, situated in the village of Dienersdorf near Kaindorf in Eastern Styria. Master winegrower Fritz Knöbl, who took over responsibility for wine production from his parents at the age of just 17, combines tradition, modern expertise and sustainable viticulture in his wines in an excellent manner. Having successfully completed his training at the renowned Silberberg School of Viticulture, his name is now synonymous with quality and authenticity.
This Welschriesling is made from fully ripe grapes that thrive on the sun-drenched Lager vineyards surrounding the winery in Eastern Styria. Careful hand-picking and gentle processing ensure the typical freshness and aromatic elegance of this white wine. After bottling, the wine is fitted with a practical screw cap, which preserves its fruity freshness perfectly.
With a moderate alcohol content of 12 % vol., the Knöbl Welschriesling is an uncomplicated, harmonious white wine that delights lovers of Austrian wine tradition and regional specialities.
Tasting Note
In the glass, the Knöbl Welschriesling appears in a brilliantly clear, pale greenish-yellow colour with subtle golden highlights. The aromatic bouquet enchants with fresh notes of green apples, white peaches and juicy pears, underpinned by a delicate citrus note and subtle floral accents. On the palate, it impresses with an invigorating, well-balanced acidity, elegant fruitiness and a subtle mineral structure. Its finish is fresh, clean and pleasantly harmonious with a hint of spice.

The Knöbl Welschriesling is excellent as a light aperitif or as an accompaniment to typical Austrian starters, fresh salads, white meat or pan-fried fish.
