The Knöbl Welschriesling is a fresh white wine full of character from the renowned Weinhof Knöbl, which is located in the municipality of Dienersdorf near Kaindorf in Eastern Styria. Master winemaker Fritz Knöbl, who took over responsibility for wine production from his parents at the age of 17, combines tradition, modern expertise and sustainable viticulture in an excellent way in his wines. After successfully completing his training at the renowned Silberberg viticultural school, his name is now synonymous with quality and authenticity.

This Welschriesling is made from fully ripe grapes that thrive on the sun-drenched vineyards around the winery in Eastern Styria. Careful hand-picking and gentle processing ensure the typical freshness and aromatic elegance of this white wine. After bottling, the wine is sealed with a practical screw cap, which optimally preserves its fruity freshness.

With a moderate alcohol content of 12% vol., the Knöbl Welschriesling is an uncomplicated, harmonious white wine that will delight lovers of Austrian wine tradition and regional specialities.

Tasting Note

The Knöbl Welschriesling appears in the glass in a bright, clear, light green-yellow colour with subtle golden reflections. The aromatic bouquet enchants with fresh notes of green apples, white peaches and juicy pears, accompanied by a fine citrus note and subtle floral accents. On the palate, it impresses with a lively, well-balanced acidity, elegant fruitiness and a subtle mineral structure. Its finish is fresh, clear and pleasantly harmonious with a slight spiciness.

The Knöbl Welschriesling is ideal as a light aperitif or accompaniment to typical Austrian starters, fresh salads, white meat or fried fish. It is also an ideal accompaniment to a classic Buschenschank snack with mild cheeses, spreads and regional specialities.
