El Compás Rum Company THE ORIGINAL is a high-quality spirit drink composed from carefully selected molasses rums from the Dominican Republic. The rums contained mature for at least 5 years under tropical conditions in former American white oak bourbon barrels. This long maturation gives the blend a fine woody flavour and a balanced, smooth aroma that impresses both on its own and in cocktails. The combination of pot still and column still distillation ensures a multi-layered flavour profile with a smooth body and harmonious sweetness.

Tasting Note

Colour: Golden amber with a slight sheen.

Nose: Soft and inviting with notes of vanilla, caramel, light-coloured fruit, ripe bananas and oak.

Flavour: Round and harmonious with a mixture of sweetness, tropical fruit, green walnuts, fine roasted notes and mild spice.

Finish: Medium length, pleasantly soft and slightly sweet with a fine woody flavour.
