The Conde Valdemar Rosé Rioja DOC 2023 comes from the traditional wine-growing region of La Rioja in the north of Spain and is produced by the renowned Bodegas Valdemar winery. The family-run winery, based in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa region, can look back on a history dating back to 1889. Since then, Bodegas Valdemar has stood for innovation, quality and a clear focus on regional identity. Today, the winery is run by the fifth generation and is one of the pioneers of the modern Rioja style.

This elegant rosé wine from Rioja is a cuvée of Grenache and Viura, two grape varieties that complement each other perfectly: Grenache brings fruit fullness and structure, Viura freshness and floral elegance. The grapes are carefully processed after the harvest and vinified in stainless steel tanks to preserve the clarity and vibrancy of the wine. After bottling, the rosé wine is sealed with a natural cork to ensure high-quality ageing. With ageing potential until 2026, this rosado develops even more depth and expressiveness, while remaining accessible and charming.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the wine shines in a bright rosé colour with clear brilliance. Intense aromas of red fruits such as cherries and raspberries unfold on the nose, accompanied by fresh floral notes. On the palate, it is fruity and lively, with a fine balance between animating acidity and delicate extract sweetness. The finish is long and pleasantly fresh, with a lingering fruit presence.

The Conde Valdemar Rosé from Rioja is an excellent accompaniment to light starters, summer vegetables, tapas, grilled fish, wok-fried vegetables with seafood or Asian dishes with a sweet and sour flavour.
