Lajita Mezcal Oaxaqueño is produced using time-honoured craftsmanship: the agave hearts are slowly roasted in earthen ovens over several days to develop their characteristic smoky note. They are then crushed, fermented and distilled twice. What makes this bottling special is the agave worm (gusano de maguey) contained in every bottle. This worm is a traditional symbol of Mexican mezcal culture and stands for authenticity, depth of flavour and the drink’s unmistakable origin.
