MIM Brandy NANA is an exceptional brandy made from cashew apples, which comes from the heart of Ghana and is one of the rarest distillates of its kind in the world. It is produced on the family-run MIM cashew plantation, which extends over 760 hectares and is known for its organic, sustainably managed agriculture. Around 600 tonnes of cashew nuts are grown there every year - but the real secret lies in a hitherto little-used by-product: the cashew apple.

Few people realise that cashew nuts grow on so-called cashew apples. These sweet and sour, aromatic fruits are extremely perishable - but through skilful processing, MIM has succeeded in preserving the intense aroma through distillation. The freshly harvested cashew apples are pressed, fermented and then processed into a fruity "wine", which is gently distilled in the next step and matured in small oak barrels and ex-bourbon barrels under tropical conditions. The result is MIM Nana, a brandy with a strong character that is a true rarity thanks to its origin, craftsmanship and exotic raw material.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep, warm amber.

Nose: Complex and multi-layered with fruity and nutty notes, vanilla, sweet and sour cashew apple, reminiscent of apple-mango chutney with exotic spices.

Flavour: Smooth and silky attack with ripe fruit, almond, vanilla, balsamic wood warmth and tropical ripeness.

Finish: Langs and harmonious with a light sweetness, fine wood and an exotic hint of Ghana.

The MIM Brandy Nana is a fascinating digestif with depth and origin. It is best enjoyed neat at room temperature or slightly chilled on ice. It harmonises perfectly with dark chocolate, mature cheese or even marinated game such as venison. Thanks to its tropical, fruity elegance, it is also suitable as an accompanying brandy for strong dishes and as a talking point on any gourmet table.
