The name Ron Cueva 1501 refers to the Cueva tribe, one of Panama’s earliest indigenous peoples, who were sighted by Spanish explorers in 1501. By 1535, this tribe had disappeared as a result of conquest and disease. Ron Cueva serves as a tribute to their legacy. Today, the producer actively supports indigenous communities in Panama through social projects – and, with this bottling, brings a piece of history back to the present.

The rum impresses with its deep mahogany colour, its density and an expressive bouquet characterised by its long ageing in oak casks. It is one of the oldest Solera rums on the market and is aimed at connoisseurs who appreciate depth, complexity and provenance.
