The Douglas Laing Big Peat Fèis Ìle Vintage 2010/2025 is a limited-edition special release from the award-winning Big Peat Islay Blended Malt Scotch Whisky range by the independent family-run company Douglas Laing & Co. This powerful expression was created specifically to celebrate the legendary Fèis Ìle – the Islay Festival of Music and Malt – and pays homage to the characterful whisky island of Islay. Year after year, Douglas Laing releases a special edition to mark this occasion – in 2025, featuring a vintage from 2010 that has been matured in carefully selected refill hogshead casks.

This Islay Blended Malt Scotch Whisky embodies the rugged spirit of Islay: with a robust character, complex smoky notes and authentic production methods. The Fèis Ìle 2025 Edition has been bottled without chill filtration or colouring, in a small batch and with a robust 50% ABV. The single malts used come exclusively from various distilleries on the island of Islay and reflect the full spectrum of the smoky, maritime-influenced style for which Big Peat is famous. With a phenol content of 40 PPM, this bottling offers a particularly intense experience for fans of peaty smoke.

Tasting Note

Colour: Pale gold.

Nose: Sweet peat smoke, seaweed, salty sea air and a hint of campfire ash.

Palate: Powerful and maritime with notes of soot, smoked meat, charcoal dust, BBQ spices and delicate sugar.

Finish: Long-lasting, smoky and dry with the classic Big Peat signature – salty, peaty, intense.
