Tasting Note

In the glass, a deep, almost black ruby red. On the nose, complex and multi-layered with dark berry fruit such as cassis, black cherry and blackberry, accompanied by cedarwood, tobacco, Graphit, liquorice and dark chocolate. Floral and balsamic notes, as well as a subtle salty minerality, complement the elegant interplay of aromas. On the palate, it is dense, precise and energetic, with silky yet powerful tannins, lively acidity and harmonious fruitiness. The finish is deep, spicy and long-lasting, underpinned by dark fruit and subtle woody nuances.

The Ornellaia La Determinazione 2022 pairs perfectly with steaks, rack of lamb, braised beef, venison dishes, truffle dishes and Mediterranean meat specialities with herbs and dark sauces.
