Suntory Hibiki Japanese Harmony Master’s Select 43% is a particularly meticulously blended variant of the well-known Hibiki Japanese Blended Whisky and was originally created for the international travel retail sector. To create this blend, Suntory combines more than ten carefully selected malt and grain whiskies, which define the elegant and harmonious style of the Hibiki range. Compared to the standard Japanese Harmony, the Master’s Select Edition places greater emphasis on sweet sherry notes, lending the blend additional depth and a slightly richer character. The time-honoured Japanese art of blending combines fruit, honeyed sweetness and darker cask notes to create a balanced overall profile. At 43% ABV, the bottling nevertheless remains finely structured and approachable.

The design also makes the Hibiki Master’s Select Japanese Whisky unmistakable. The distinctive Hibiki bottle features 24 facets, which refer to the 24 traditional seasons of the Japanese calendar and thus symbolise the close connection between nature, time and whisky production. This special Travel Edition further draws on classic Japanese motifs with Japanese cherry blossoms and artistically illustrated watermills. On the palate, honey and orange meet plums, dark chocolate and subtle woody notes, complemented by delicate spices and a hint of Japanese oak. Hibiki Japanese Harmony Master's Select is particularly well suited to being enjoyed neat at around 18 to 20 °C, but can also be served over a large ice cube or with a few drops of still water. It pairs well with duck breast, mildly matured hard cheese, roasted almonds or fine sushi with a slightly sweet sauce. When it comes to desserts, orange chocolate, plum-based desserts, dark chocolate or honey biscuits harmonise particularly well with its fruity-sweet profile.
