The Hillinger Sauvignon Blanc 2024 is a modern, aromatically precise white wine from Burgenland that masterfully combines freshness, rich fruitiness and clear varietal character. With an alcohol content of 12.5 % vol., this wine embodies Leo Hillinger’s signature style: uncompromising quality, purity of flavour and elegance. The grapes come from the finest Lager around Jois on Lake Neusiedl – an area renowned for its climatic diversity and ideal conditions for fruit-driven white wines.

The wine was fermented in stainless-steel tanks at a cool temperature of 13–15 °C over a period of five weeks. It was then aged on the fine lees for three months, lending it an elegant texture and aromatic depth. It was bottled with a practical screw cap, which ensures freshness and suitability for ageing. It has an ageing potential of around two years. The Hillinger Sauvignon Blanc 2024 is a classic example of the variety with a modern twist – ideal for lovers of aromatic, crisp, dry white wines from Austria.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the Hillinger Sauvignon Blanc 2024 glows with a medium straw-yellow colour and green highlights. The nose is distinctly pronounced, with intense aromas of gooseberry, elderflower, cut grass, green pepper and delicate hints of cornflower. On the palate, these impressions unfold into an explosion of flavours, supported by a refreshing, medium body. The finish is fruit-driven, lively and lingers for a long time with a clear, defined Linie.
