The Scheiblhofer Cabernet Sauvignon Selection 2024 is a characterful, high-quality Austrian red wine with a dry finish, which impresses with its power, fruitiness and subtle spice. Grown in sunny Burgenland and vinified as a single-varietal Cabernet Sauvignon, this red wine elegantly expresses the full spectrum of the grape variety’s aromas.

The wine was aged for 7 months in second-fill barriques, allowing its structure to blend harmoniously with delicate oaky notes. This careful ageing results in a supple texture, whilst the primary fruit remains ever-present. With an alcohol content of 13.5 % vol., this wine is powerful yet balanced – ideal for connoisseurs who appreciate both depth and freshness in equal measure.

Thanks to the successful combination of variety-typical fruit expression, mild tannins and a subtle hint of oak, this Cabernet Sauvignon is equally impressive as a companion to food or on its own. It will be ready to drink from 2025 to 2031, guaranteeing long-lasting enjoyment.

Tasting Note

In the glass, it displays a deep, dark violet colour with a youthful lustre. The nose is characterised by typical blackcurrant notes, complemented by red pepper spice and a hint of caramel and oak. On the palate, a powerful yet controlled astringency unfolds, underpinned by complex fruit, a dense structure and finely balanced oak notes. The finish is long, precise and elegant, leaving a lasting impression.

Served at the recommended temperature of 16 °C and decanted before drinking, this Cabernet reveals its full potential.
