Description
The Zenato Pinot Grigio delle Venezie DOC 2024 is an expressive white wine from the renowned Zenato winery, which is known for its high-quality wines from Veneto. This Pinot Grigio comes from the protected designation of origin (DOC) region of delle Venezie, which is renowned for its ideal microclimate, limestone soils and a long tradition of winegrowing. The combination of artisanal skill, state-of-the-art winemaking technology and a particular focus on grape variety and provenance makes this vintage a quintessential example of its style – fresh, elegant and full-bodied.
The Zenato winery, founded in 1960 by Sergio Zenato, has stood for the highest quality and tradition for decades. Today, it is run by the second generation and ranks among the leading producers in northern Italy. The 2024 Pinot Grigio embodies the house’s philosophy: to create wines that reflect the terroir whilst offering a high level of enjoyment. With an alcohol content of 12.5 % vol., this white wine is ideal as an everyday accompaniment to meals or as a refreshing aperitif on warm days.
Tasting Note
In the glass, the Zenato Pinot Grigio 2024 presents a clear, pale straw-yellow colour with greenish highlights. On the nose, it reveals elegant aromas of green apple, pear and citrus fruits, accompanied by floral nuances and a hint of white blossoms. On the palate, the wine is fresh, lively and well-structured. Juicy fruit notes meet an invigorating acidity, which lends the wine lightness and elegance. The finish is clean, dry and pleasantly mineral.
This Pinot Grigio is an excellent accompaniment to a wide variety of light dishes. It pairs particularly well with grilled fish, seafood, summer salads or mild goat’s cheese. It also holds its own superbly with vegetable risotto, white meat or Italian antipasti.
As an aperitif, it impresses with its freshness and crisp structure. Best served at 8–10 °C, it stylishly brings the lightness of north-eastern Italy to the glass – a versatile white wine that delights both in everyday life and on special occasions.
