Like all the wines in this Linie, the Chard is inspired by the 19 offences that led to the deportation of convicts to Australia in the 18th and 19th centuries. Each bottle tells a piece of history and combines past and present in a unique way.


The 19 Crimes Chard is made from the Chardonnay grape variety, which can develop its full potential in Australia's warm climate. Part of the wine is aged in wooden barrels, which gives it additional depth, structure and a creamy texture. With an alcohol content of 12.5% vol., it is comparatively light and particularly accessible. The Chard impresses with its balance of freshness, ripe fruit and fine flavour - a wine that will delight both beginners and lovers of aromatic Chardonnay wines.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the 19 Crimes Chard presents itself in a brilliant golden yellow colour. The nose reveals aromas of ripe peaches, tropical fruit, citrus and a hint of vanilla. It is creamy and round on the palate, with notes of butter, caramel and roasted nuts resulting from the wood maturation. The lively acidity provides freshness and balance on the long, harmonious finish.
