Description
Description
The Ramos Pinto Adriano Porto Reserva is a premium port wine from the long-established Ramos Pinto house, which has been synonymous with excellent quality and distinctive wines since its foundation in 1880. Named after the company’s founder, Adriano Ramos Pinto, this Reserva port pays homage to the pioneering work and spirit of innovation with which the brand remains closely associated to this day.
The Adriano Reserva is a well-balanced Ruby Port of Reserva quality, meaning it is aged for at least six years in oak casks – significantly longer than classic Ruby Ports. This extended ageing period lends it exceptional depth, complexity and a harmonious balance of fruit and oak. The grapes come from the finest Lager vineyards in the Douro Valley and are vinified using traditional methods. The wine matures in oak casks before being bottled.
With an alcohol content of 19.5% ABV, the Adriano Porto Reserva is a full-bodied, elegant dessert wine which, presented in both the high-quality 0.75-litre bottle and the stylish gift box, is the perfect choice for connoisseurs or as a gift.
Tasting Note
In the glass, the Ramos Pinto Adriano Porto Reserva displays a deep ruby red colour with brick-red highlights, indicating its maturation in oak. On the nose, intense aromas of ripe red fruits, dark cherries, figs and plums unfold, combined with elegant notes of vanilla, cocoa, dried herbs and a subtle spiciness. On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety, with well-integrated tannins, a delicate sweetness and a balanced structure. The finish is long, warm and aromatic, with lingering fruity notes.
Acidity: 3.95 g/l
Residual sugar: 101 g/l
Adriano Porto Reserva is an excellent accompaniment to mature cheeses (e.g. Stilton, Manchego, blue cheese), dark chocolate, nut-based desserts or dried fruit. It also cuts a fine figure with classic Portuguese desserts or as the finale to a festive meal. It can be served slightly chilled (approx. 14–16 °C) and is also ideal as a wine for quiet moments of enjoyment. Thanks to its elegant gift packaging, it also makes a stylish present for special occasions – a taste of Portuguese wine culture that strikes the perfect balance between tradition and enjoyment.
