The Val de Rance Cru Breton Cidre Doux is a mild and traditional apple cider from Brittany, which is one of the particularly light representatives of its kind with only 2% alcohol by volume. Produced by the traditional co-operative Les Celliers Associés, this cider is based on carefully selected apple varieties typical of the region and is processed in the Breton artisan tradition. Only fresh apples are used, which are gently pressed, fermented at low temperatures and bottled without additives or preservatives.

The Cru Breton Doux is an example of the sweeter style of French cider, which is particularly popular in Brittany. The low alcohol strength is achieved by stopping fermentation early, which preserves a high proportion of the natural fruit sweetness. Tasting Note

In the glass, the Cidre Doux has a golden yellow colour with a fine, natural cloudiness and lively perlage. The nose reveals intense aromas of sweet apples, stewed apples, honey and a hint of caramel. On the palate, it is soft, round and juicy, with a fine sweetness and only subtle acidity, which makes it particularly accessible and light. The finish is fruity, mild and pleasantly playful.

Ideally served at 6-8 °C, the Cru Breton Doux is a perfect accompaniment to crêpes, apple tart, brioche, croissants or mild blue cheese. It also unfolds its full potential with spicy curries or as a dessert accompaniment. Due to its low alcohol content, it is also an excellent fruity alternative to conventional aperitifs.
