The Hazelburn 8 Years Old Oloroso Cask Matured is a strictly limited-edition Campbeltown single malt from the historic Springbank Distillery – one of the last active distilleries in this famous whisky region. Hazelburn is one of three single malts produced at Springbank and stands out clearly from the other bottlings thanks to its triple distillation and the fact that it is completely smoke-free. This special production method results in a particularly smooth, elegant and approachable character, making it ideal for lovers of mild yet complex whiskies.

This 8-year-old edition was distilled in February 2017 and bottled in March 2025. It was matured exclusively in fresh Oloroso sherry casks, which give the whisky its pronounced fruity sweetness, spiciness and subtle nuttiness. Like all bottlings from the Springbank distillery, Hazelburn is produced entirely by hand: from traditional floor malting to bottling, every stage of production takes place on-site in Campbeltown. Bottled at 48.2 % ABV, without chill filtration and in its natural colour, this single malt offers an authentic tasting experience. The release is limited to just 10,500 bottles worldwide, making this whisky particularly collectable.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep gold with reddish highlights.

Nose: Sweet cinnamon, cocoa, cranberries and redcurrants.

Palate: Intense berry flavours, strawberry chewing gum, sticky toffee pudding and blackberries.

Finish: Pleasantly nutty with notes of hazelnut and walnut.
