In the glass, the wine is a deep dark ruby-garnet colour with violet reflections. The nose reveals a nuanced fruity flavour of ripe dark berries, accompanied by spicy notes. The finish reveals fine notes of cloves and juniper. On the palate, the Cabernet Franc is taut and precise, with a striking interplay of fruit and acidity that is supported by a savoury spiciness on the finish. The tannin structure is well integrated and supports the powerful but elegant overall impression.

The IRO Cabernet Franc Heideboden 2024 is an excellent accompaniment to strong meat dishes such as beef, lamb or game.
