The Regele Zweigelt Rosé 2024 is a wonderfully fruity and refreshing rosé wine from Styria, one of Austria’s most exciting and dynamic wine-growing regions. The Regele winery is situated in Leibnitz in southern Styria, not far from the Slovenian border. This region is characterised by a warm, Pannonian climate with cool nights and diverse soils, which lend the wines finesse, freshness and character.

Made from 100 % Zweigelt, the region’s most important red grape variety, this rosé perfectly showcases the variety’s lively fruit and lightness. The grapes are harvested early to preserve their natural acidity and, after a short maceration period, are fermented in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The 2024 vintage impresses with its clear aromatics, delicate fruit notes and a lower alcohol content of just 11 % vol., making the wine particularly light and easy to drink – ideal for the warmer months or as a stylish accompaniment to food.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the Regele Zweigelt Rosé displays a delicate salmon-pink colour with shimmering highlights. The nose reveals fragrant aromas of fresh strawberries, raspberries and a hint of redcurrant, underpinned by floral notes. On the palate, the wine is fresh, juicy and straightforward, with lively acidity, subtle spice and a delicate, fruit-driven finish.

Ideal as an aperitif, with summer cuisine, Asian-inspired dishes, grilled fish, vegetarian dishes or simply as an uncomplicated treat on the terrace. Also an excellent choice with antipasti, goat’s cheese or cold platters. A versatile rosé that harmoniously combines style and drinking pleasure.
