The Paladin Drago Bianco Chardonnay 2023 is a characterful white wine from the renowned Paladin winery in Veneto, northern Italy. The grapes for this wine come from the estate’s own vineyards, which have well-aerated, loamy-limestone soils that lend the Chardonnay power, structure and minerality. After careful harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented under temperature control. Part of the wine is left to mature briefly on the fine lees, which lends it additional depth and complexity. The 2023 vintage showcases fully ripe fruit, subtle spice and superbly integrated acidity – a versatile and modern Chardonnay with regional character.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the Drago Bianco displays a pale golden-yellow colour with greenish highlights. On the nose, aromas of yellow apple, pear, exotic melon and white flowers unfold, accompanied by a hint of vanilla and fresh citrus notes. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, juicy and harmonious, with good body, subtle fruit depth and a balanced, mineral finish with a slightly creamy texture.

This Chardonnay is an ideal accompaniment to grilled fish, seafood, risotto with vegetables or shellfish, white meat or even creamy pasta dishes. It is also an elegant white wine to enjoy on its own for connoisseurs, or as a stylish aperitif.
