The Pierre Ferrand Réserve 1er Cru de Cognac Double Cask is an exclusive cognac blend, crafted from the finest eaux-de-vie sourced from the renowned Grande Champagne region – the Premier Cru among cognac appellations. Produced by the long-established Maison Ferrand, this cognac epitomises artisanal excellence, fidelity to the terroir and innovative ageing.

Its distinctive feature lies in the double cask maturation: following a long period of ageing in classic French oak casks, the cognac undergoes a further period of maturation in former Banyuls casks – a rare step in cognac production. This second cask ageing lends the cognac additional complexity, depth and a delicate sweetness that harmonises superbly with the floral, fruity and nutty notes. The use of 42.3 % ABV emphasises the aromatic intensity without compromising on elegance.

Tasting Note

Colour: Golden brown with a warm coppery sheen.

Nose: Ripe apricots, dried figs, vanilla, walnut, oak and a hint of nutmeg.

Palate: Round and harmonious, with dried fruit, honey, almond, spices and a subtle hint of wine from the Banyuls cask.

Finish: Long, smooth and complex with warm oaky spice and fruity sweetness.

Ideal served neat at room temperature or slightly warmed in a cognac glass. Excellent with mature cheeses, dark chocolate, cigars or as the finishing touch to a fine meal.
