Writer’s Tears CASK STRENGTH Irish Whiskey Exclusive Release 2025 is a strictly limited-edition special release from the Irish brand Writer’s Tears, combining two of Ireland’s traditional whisky styles. For this exclusive edition, only specially selected distillates from Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey and Single Malt Irish Whiskey are used, all of which are triple-distilled. The subsequent maturation takes place in selected American oak casks, whose influence lends the whiskey additional structure, spice and depth. Writer's Tears Cask Strength 2025 is best enjoyed neat at around 18 to 20 °C, although a few drops of still water can open up the robust 54.9% ABV and reveal further nuances. Mature Cheddar, toasted walnuts or almonds and dark chocolate pair well with the intense cask character. Desserts featuring apple, pear, cinnamon or caramelised nuts are also well-suited, as they complement the orchard fruits and warm spices.
