Maturation took place in a particularly expressive single cask, resulting in a whisky with intense depth and a natural colour.

The Blair Athol Distillery, situated in Pitlochry in the Scottish Highlands, is renowned for full-bodied, spicy whiskies with a nutty character. Independently bottled by Signatory Vintage, one of Scotland’s most renowned bottlers, the spirit unfolds in its purest form – non-chill-filtered, uncoloured and at authentic cask strength.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber with a copper-coloured heart.

Nose: Deep malty aromas, dark fruits, cloves, toffee, toasted wood and a hint of leather.

Palate: Full-bodied and well-structured with notes of dried fruit, muscovado sugar, oaky spice, mocha and nutty warmth.

Finish: Lang, intense and warming with spicy oak notes, dark chocolate and a hint of sherry.

Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to open up the flavours. Ideal with rich dishes such as game terrine, dark chocolate, mature cheese or as an accompaniment to a cigar. Also excellent as a collector’s item or the highlight of a whisky tasting. A classic Highland malt that is both rare and highly expressive.
