The Penderyn Distillery, founded in 2000 in the Brecon Beacons in Wales, is regarded as a pioneer of the modern Welsh whisky craft. Production takes place using the innovative Faraday still, which ensures a particularly pure, fruity and elegant whisky. The ‘Dragon Range’, which includes Myth, Legend and Celt, is named after the red dragon on the Welsh national flag and reflects the country’s identity and strength.

- Myth has been matured exclusively in ex-bourbon and virgin oak casks and impresses with its lightness and fruitiness.

- Legend was finished in ex-Madeira casks and displays depth, sweetness and complexity.

- Celt was stored in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in ex-Islay casks, giving it a subtle smoky character.

Myth:

Colour: Pale gold.

Nose: Fresh and fruity with notes of apple, pear and vanilla.

Palate: Light, sweet and malty with a gentle spiciness.

Finish: Short to medium-length, smooth and balanced.

Legend:

Colour: Amber.

Nose: Dried fruit, honey and a hint of vanilla.

Taste: Round, slightly sweet with hints of Madeira, toffee and nuts.

Finish: Smooth, warm and elegant with subtle fruit.

Celt:

Colour: Pale straw.

Nose: Mellow smoke, citrus notes and sweet grain.

Taste: Slightly smoky, fruity with vanilla and spices.

Finish: Dry and smoky with subtle spice.
