The distillery is one of the few still active distilleries in this historic whisky region and is known for its unmistakable combination of maritime notes, fruity flavours and spicy depth. The use of traditional copper stills creates Glen Scotia's signature style with an elegant interplay of fruit, spice and a subtle coastal flavour. This bottling is part of the Glen Scotia Double Cask Collection, a series that combines different international cask maturations with the classic character of the distillery.


This Glen Scotia Double Cask whisky is first matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks made from American oak before the whisky is given a refining finish in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. This second cask maturation provides additional depth and particularly emphasises the sweeter and fruity nuances of the whisky. Bottled at 46% vol. and not chill-filtered, this single malt Scotch whisky retains its natural texture and intense flavour profile. The combination of bourbon cask maturation and PX sherry cask finish ensures a harmonious interplay of creamy sweetness, ripe fruit and spicy oak, accompanied by the typical light sea breeze of Campbeltown whiskies.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep amber.

Nose: Sweet and intense with caramel, toffee, fudge and candied fruit, plus apples, peaches and a fine maritime note.

Flavour: Full-bodied and balanced with spicy fruit, toffee, fudge and a hint of mint, accompanied by vanilla oak.

Finish: Deep and dry with spicy oak and lingering notes.
