The Macallan 18 Years Old Colour Collection 43% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is an outstanding single malt from the exclusive Colour Collection, created as a tribute to The Macallan's commitment to Natural Colour and Sherry Seasoning. This range highlights the crucial role that cask selection plays in the natural colouring and distinctive character of the whiskies.


Only oak casks previously seasoned with sherry wine from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, are used for the Macallan Colour Collection 18 Years Old. Over a maturation period of 18 years, the perfect combination of American and European oak develops multi-layered flavours: fresh citrus notes and vanilla come from American oak, while the European oak provides depth and spice with dried fruit, spices and orange citrus. There are also accents of almonds, toffee and a hint of sherry spice, which give the whisky its unmistakable profile. Bottled at 43% vol. in natural colour and without chill-filtration, it presents itself with an elegant, chestnut-brown colour that comes exclusively from the cask maturation.

The artistic design of the gift box is by David Carson, capturing the warmth of the evening sun shining over the rooftops of the bodegas in Jerez de la Frontera - symbolising The Macallan's close connection with the region where its casks are finished.

Tasting Note

Colour: Chestnut brown, naturally due to barrel ageing.

Nose: Vanilla, milk chocolate, orange, honeycomb and fine sherry spice.

Taste: Sweet and citrusy, characterised by sweet oak, clementine, toffee, almonds, dried fruit and honeycomb.

The Macallan 18 Years Old Colour Collection is a whisky that is best enjoyed neat in a nosing glass to experience its rich cask complexity. Additional nuances can be opened up with a drop of water. In culinary terms, it harmonises perfectly with fine dark chocolate, roasted almonds, desserts with caramel or dried fruit and fine hard cheeses.
