The SOMMOS Colección Sauvignon Blanc Somontano D.O.P. 2024 is a lively yet elegant Spanish white wine from the modern wine-growing region of Somontano in Aragón. Made from 100 per cent Sauvignon Blanc, it impressively demonstrates how this international grape variety can develop its freshness, aromatics and minerality in the high-altitude vineyards at the foot of the Pyrenees. The limestone and gravelly soils, combined with the continental climate characterised by warm days and cool nights, ensure a long ripening period for the grapes, which gives this wine its expressive balance.

After careful hand-harvesting, the grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the variety’s characteristic freshness and fruitiness. Tasting Note

In the glass, the SOMMOS Colección Sauvignon Blanc 2024 displays a brilliant pale yellow colour with greenish highlights. On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of exotic fruits such as passion fruit and maracuja, complemented by notes of citrus, gooseberry and delicate herbs. On the palate, it is fresh and lively, with a clear structure, mineral elegance and a long, fruit-driven finish.
