The SOMMOS Colección Sauvignon Blanc Somontano D.O.P. 2024 is a lively yet elegant Spanish white wine from the modern Somontano wine region in Aragón. Made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, it impressively demonstrates how this international grape variety can develop its freshness, flavour and minerality in the high altitudes at the foot of the Pyrenees. The chalky and gravelly soils and the continental climate with warm days and cool nights ensure a long ripening period for the grapes, giving this wine its expressive balance.
After careful manual harvesting, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature to preserve the freshness and fruit typical of the variety. With an alcohol content of 13.5% vol., the Colección Sauvignon Blanc is aromatic, structured and modern. Tasting Note
The SOMMOS Colección Sauvignon Blanc 2024 has a brilliant light yellow colour with greenish reflections in the glass. Intense aromas of exotic fruits such as passion fruit and passion fruit unfold on the nose, complemented by notes of citrus fruit, gooseberry and fine herbs. It is fresh and lively on the palate, with a clear structure, mineral elegance and a long, fruit-accentuated finish.
This Sauvignon Blanc from Somontano is an ideal accompaniment to fresh summer salads, sushi, seafood, goat's cheese or light Mediterranean dishes. It also impresses as an aperitif with its freshness and versatility. At a serving temperature of 8-10 °C, it unfolds its full spectrum of flavours and is perfect for summer evenings and festive occasions.
