The K+K Kirnbauer Cesario Brut 12% ABV 0.75 l is an exceptional sparkling wine from Burgenland, produced using the traditional bottle-fermentation method. This places it amongst the ranks of high-quality sparkling wines characterised by elegance, finesse and complex aromas. The cuvée combines Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc – vinified using the Blanc de Blancs et Blanc de Noirs method. Whilst Sauvignon Blanc provides freshness, lively fruit and structure, Cabernet Franc contributes spice, finesse and an elegant depth.


The grapes thrive on stony, calcareous and sandy loam soils, which lend the wine its distinctive minerality. Following a controlled-temperature primary fermentation in stainless-steel tanks, secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle, where the Cesario matures on its lees for 18 months. Sealed with a natural cork and suitable for ageing until at least 2030, it offers a stylish, long-lasting sparkling wine experience.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the Cesario Brut displays a pale golden-yellow colour with fine, lively bubbles. On the nose, it unfolds a complex bouquet of blackcurrant, gooseberry and vineyard peach, complemented by subtle notes of buttery brioche and light toasty aromas. On the palate, it impresses with youthful, playful acidity, light tannins and perfectly integrated, natural carbonation. The finish is long, elegant and characterised by fresh minerality.

The Kirnbauer Cesario Brut is a stylish aperitif that is perfect for festive occasions. It pairs excellently with oysters, prawns, sushi and fish dishes, as well as with creamy cheeses or light starters. Thanks to its elegant structure and fine perlage, it is equally well suited as an accompaniment to poultry, white meat or vegetarian dishes.
