The Planteray Rum Extra Old 20th Anniversary is a luxurious and exceptionally complex Barbados rum that was created as a tribute to Alexandre Gabriel's 20 years as Master Blender. With an alcohol content of 40% vol. and in the exclusive 3-litre bottle, this rum presents itself as a masterpiece of Caribbean craftsmanship that combines Barbadian depth with French savoir-faire.


The Planteray XO 20th Anniversary consists of a blend of particularly old Barbados rums distilled from molasses at the West Indies Rum Distillery. After a fermentation period of 3 to 5 days, distillation takes place in twin column stills as well as in traditional pot stills (The Old Gregg's). The rum then matures under tropical conditions in new white oak and ex-bourbon barrels before receiving its characteristic finish in selected Cognac Ferrand barrels in France. The different toasting levels of the barrels ensure an impressive depth and aromatic diversity.

Originally created to celebrate Alexandre Gabriel's 20th anniversary, the XO 20th Anniversary has become one of the most prestigious rums in the world and has been awarded over 55 gold medals - making it the most awarded XO rum in the world.
