Tasting Note

In the glass, the Grüner Veltliner Smaragd Kellerberg 2023 displays a pale straw-yellow colour with golden highlights. On the nose, it reveals complex aromas of yellow apple, ripe pear, stone fruit and exotic notes, accompanied by a subtle spiciness of white pepper and tobacco. On the palate, it is powerful, dense and mineral, with a creamy texture, elegant acidity and tremendous length. The finish is multi-layered, harmonious and characterised by great elegance.

This Smaragd Veltliner is an ideal companion to fine dining: perfect with roast veal, Wiener schnitzel, poultry, Asian-inspired dishes, as well as with full-flavoured fish or seafood. It also comes into its own with mature hard cheeses. With its structure and finesse, it is also a wine for collectors and connoisseurs, and in its 3-litre wooden box makes a splendid gift.
