The distillery has been producing whisky since the early 20th century, combining Japanese precision with a clear focus on cask management and balanced flavours.


The Akashi Takumi is a fine blended whisky characterised by its special secondary maturation. Following its initial maturation, it is finished in selected sherry casks, which lend it additional depth, fruity sweetness and an elegant spiciness. With an alcohol content of 40% vol., it is pleasantly mild and rounded, yet remains complex and multi-layered thanks to the sherry influences.
